Avery came to massage via their psychotherapy training centering on trauma, grief, and gender
affirming care. After starting a successful talk therapy practice, Avery pursued massage therapy
training in order to better understand how the things we experience live in our bodies,
sometimes without much awareness aside from that persistently aching shoulder or stiff neck.
A graduate of the Massage School in Hadley, Avery is trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and
myofascial techniques. Curious and intuitive, Avery is passionate about helping others heal.
When not working therapeutically, he enjoys elaborate culinary endeavors, amateur home
construction, writing and reading poetry, and exploring new cities.
